We're unable to process this transaction for the entered amount

Hi. While trying to make a $50 payment through the website and the xfinity app, I get the following error: We're unable to process this transaction for the entered amount.

Does anyone know why the payment is being rejected?

I've confirmed with the credit card company that they didn't see any transaction requests.

I've used this credit card to make the past many payments to xfinity.

I'd be happy to look into this for you. Please send us a direct message with your full name and address. You can send a direct message by clicking on the "chat" icon in the upper right (left of the bell), then clicking on the notepad/pencil icon, and lastly Xfinity Support.

I don't think the app will allow you to make a payment on an account, more than what is due. You used to be able to, but I noticed that stopped about 2-3 months ago. With that said, if you still want to try to make this payment, you can try calling into the office and having one of our team members over the phone take it. I can't say for sure or not if it will work, but I know from personal experience, I used to over pay my bill, but a few months ago, the app would only allow me to pay what was owed, and not exceeding that amount. Unfortunately, over social media, we cannot take payments for customers due to online security, but if you want to try our wonderful team over the phone, the number to our office is 800-934-6489. Hope that helps.
