Update to your discount payment method - Term Contract
Hi,
I just received the email "Update to your discount payment method" asking me to change from CC payments to bank draft, otherwise Comcast is going to charge me 5 USD more per month.
However, I have a term contract until June 2024, so I'm surprised that Comcast is trying to raise the price / make changes to the agreement before the term ends.
Can someone clarify whether this really applies to me or whether my monthly bill will stay the same until the contract ends.
Thanks,
schalli
PS: I tried the chat, but it was an utter waste of time. The bot is a joke and the rep didn't know anything about a term contract.

@schalli Hello, and thank you for reaching out about your term agreement and the paperless/autopay discount amount. The previous terms for the $10 discount applying when using a credit card or debit card applies for the full term typically, depending on the plan agreement signed.
Per agreements, it'll list something similar to the below:
1. You will receive the Services listed in the Offer at the price(s) and subject to the conditions indicated in the Offer and as identified in the Order Confirmation. Other Services included in the Order Confirmation that are not part of the Offer are subject to the prices and terms for those Services as indicated in the Order Confirmation. Comcast may rearrange, delete, add to or otherwise change programming or features or offerings contained in its Services.
However, the discount is usually included in the older agreements that had the straight $10 discount for card payments. We do also send out an alert close to the end date of your agreement advising to update it to fit the new terms.["edited to correct information"]
I would like to check on the end date of your agreement and ensure everything aligns properly.
