Unreturned equipment fee

Hi, i received a bill for unreturned equipment, but the equipment was taken from me. A former roommate has it and won’t return my calls

Good evening @user_dfu243 and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums with your unreturned equipment concerns. We do require that all XFINITY equipment such as cable boxes or leased gateways be returned as part of our Residential Services Agreement https://www.xfinity.com/corporate/customers/policies/subscriberagreement#xfinityequipment. Is there any way you can get in contact with the roommate? Otherwise, unfortunately, you are responsible for any loss, repair, replacement, and other costs, damages, fees, and charges if you do not return the Xfinity Equipment to us in an undamaged condition. I apologize for any inconvenience. 

 

Did you change the account to your roommates name by chance?
