Unknown billing charge

On my Xfinity bill this month, there is a $15 charge for internet/voice equipment.  I was never informed about this charge and do not know what it is for.  can someone help me?

user_9c1dbx Thanks for reaching out! That is the rental fee for our Xfinity Gateway (modem/router) used for Xfinity Internet, and Xfinity Voice services.

The email i received on 4/9/24 said that the router  equipment "was on you".  There was no mention of a fee.  I feel I was taken.  I will be returning your router that you sent me to a xfinity store.  i never agreed to pay this fee.

I tried creating a direct message, and I was told that that was wrong.  I need to talk with someone about this issue.  Please send me to someone who can assist.  I feel like I am getting the round around.  Thanks.  Tom

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line not the Employee's name
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
