Unauthorized payment

I set up and authorized a payment for July 16, 2025.   4 days later without my authorization or submission of an additional payment, another payment was processed.  When I finally was able to speak with a live person, he informs me that it was set up for auto pay.  I informed I had never set up automatic payment because being a senior on a fixed income, I needed to control my payment dates to avoid overdrafts at my bank.  He said he would issue a refund request that would be processed in 3 days.  The request number is ECM0015328354.   I have received updates since the 20th stating they are working on my ticket.  This morning I received a text message stating that my refund request was taking longer than expected They will follow up when my issue is resolved.

I feel that being a senior citizen I am being ignored and marginalized.  While it may have been my payment due date, I do not believe Xfinity had the right to arbitrarily extract a payment that I had not authorized creating problems with my checking account.  As a loyal customer for over 22 years, I feel I this action is unacceptable and the effort to resolve this is even more unacceptable.
