Unauthorized Netflix

It recently came to my attention that I have been billed for Netflix through Xfinity since 2022. Coincidentally, this Netflix account appears to have been created at the same time I opened my Xfinity account for home internet service. However, I have had an active Netflix account since 2012, which I pay for directly via credit card.

I contacted Netflix regarding this issue to request a refund, but they advised me that they are unable to assist since the charges were made through a third party (Xfinity). To clarify, I did not create or authorize an additional Netflix account through Xfinity, nor did I consent to these charges. The Netflix charges were included as part of my monthly Xfinity internet payment, and I am unsure how this situation arose.

I understand that mistakes can happen, but unfortunately, this error has cost me a significant amount of money. I would like to file a claim to request a refund for these unauthorized charges.

Unfortunately you will not be refunded back to 2022.  You most likely will only get 4 months' of refund as per policy and what you agreed to.

The concern is not "Community Center" help related..... Topic moved here to the proper help section.

Hello HidelmaB, I like to kick back and watch Netflix too, but I wouldn't like paying twice either. Let's get this sorted out together. In order to get started can you please send a direct message to Xfinity Support with your full name and full address by clicking the chat icon in the top right? Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
