Unable to remove payment method

I updated my payment method for automatic payment to use a new card and received an error message when attempting to remove the previous card. I am being told the old card is still configured for automatic payments. On the site, both are listed as Automatic Payment even though I received an email stating the new card was configured for Auto Pay. Can someone assist me in removing the old card? Thank you
