Two Echeck/eft Return Fees & Two Late Fees

Hello,

I checked my emails for my monthly bill statements and the most recent bill I received was abnormally higher than expected, $343.40 despite my monthly internet payment being $96 (which is the only monthly service I pay from Xfinity). I also have auto pay turned on, so it takes off $10 bringing my monthly payment to $86. So I was curious of why this is. The below outlines the charges in my bill statement that is due Feb. 15th:

Past Due Balance

  • Previous balance: $74.94
  • Echeck/eft Return: $108
  • Credit card payment: -$73.17

Regular monthly charges

  • My Xfinity services: $96
  • Auto pay discount: -$10

One-time charges:

  • Late Fee: $10
  • Echeck/Return Fee: $20
  • Residential Trouble Call: $100
  • Late Fee: $10

Taxes, fees and other charges

  • State Gross Receipts Fees: $7.63

The "residential trouble call" makes sense, since a technician came out to my place and changed some connections and wires due to some internet issues I had, which his work did in fact help my internet. However, the two Echeck/return fees and two late fees don't make sense to me. I recently changed my internet plan down to my current plan the other month, which changed my monthly bill from $118/mnth to $96/mnth. (which is $108 to $86 since I also had the auto pay discount on). So these are my questions:

  1. Why am I charged echeck/return fees? This doesn't make any sense to me and I have no idea what this is.
  2. Why am I charged late fees (twice) when I have had auto pay turned on for the past few years? Auto pay should "auto pay" my monthly charges.
  3. Why is my credit card payment $73.17 while my previous balance is $74.94? This is not even the same value for auto pay.

Calling the support phone number has been ineffective to communicate with a representative due to the poor bot commands and option limitations on bill issues, and the xfinity website portal help on bill issues is equally as poor for these problems. So I am hoping that I can get aid here. Please fix these issues.
