Transfer Billing

I moved and set up my equipment at my new address myself. I am being charged 75 dollars on top of a full billing cycle. If I am being charged 75 dollars for the service from my old address, why am I being charged a full cycle for the new address? I did not have service at 2 places during the same time. My bill is auto paid every month and this is pure robbery.

Hello @AKNJ84. Thank you for reaching out on our Community Forum. When you move to a new address and set up service, you will be prorated a bill from the date that you start service. Because we do bill ahead, usually that first bill is higher to line up with your billing cycle. If there was an old balance transferred from the old address to the new address, it will state that specifically on your first bill at your new address. Did this help clarify your question?

Thats not the case. My bill shows a full cycle being charged on top of the 75 dollars transfer charge. My bill is usually 220 a month. I just checked the auto pay that went through was $295. So my question is, why am I being charged a full cycle bill when they are charging me a 75 dollar transfer fee as well? I registered the new move and everything.

@AKNJ84 Your concerns are valid and important to us. We typically bill a month in advanced, so those charges were already billed before your move was finalized. After the disconnection is complete your next months bill would have prorated charges and credits for the final bill.
