The absolute worst
My experience with Xfinity began great. My service was great, internet fast and reliable. The issues began when I moved and they didn’t service my new area. I had to cancel my service. I was charged for 3 months AFTER service ended. When I called I was told I’d receive a refund to the account from which it was taken. A month passed and I called to see why I hadn’t received the refund. I was told the refund had just been processed 2 days prior to my call and I would receive the refund in 30 DAYS! Why do I have to wait a month to get back money that shouldn’t have been taken in the first place? But ok. After 30 days, I still hadn’t received the refund so I called back. I was told that due to a technical issue my refund had been denied and had to be resubmitted. I was then told I would need to wait for a check by mail, not the refund to my account, as I was told previously.
This is disgraceful. To take money for services not rendered then the hassle of returning the money. To add insult to injury, I was never informed of any issues with the refund being denied so if I had not called, it wouldn’t have been resubmitted. I would not have known about the 30 day wait nor the paper check. There was absolutely NO COMMUNICATION from Xfinity beyond emails asking me to come back to them.
The service itself is great but the business practices are very shady. I caution everyone to ask plenty of questions as they are not forthcoming and please check your account and payments for accuracy. It seems they will get over on anyone they can for as long as they can and not care about giving anything back in a timely or respectable timeframe.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello user_ysv90y, I'm sorry to read of how poorly our service and support turned when it was time to close the account due to your move. Thank you for sharing this with our community here on our Xfinity Forums and with my team. I never want a customer to have this happen to them. I know how difficult it is to take care of accounts on a normal day, but more so with the fun and chaos that tends to happen while moving.
I like to trust that everything is on the correct path and that we will have the refund processed as promised, but for peace of mind for both of us I would love the opportunity to double-check the account to ensure all the details you were provided are accurate.
With account refunds on closed account the refund is usually received within 4-6 weeks, Since you were advised it would be 30 days, I fear that something may still be off.
Would you please send us a direct message with your name and service address so that I can make sure we have it corrected this time?
Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
