Subject: Formal Billing Dispute — October 1 and October 20 Commitments, $147.82 Payment, and $42.77 Next Bill

Subject: Formal Billing Dispute — October 1 and October 20 Commitments, $147.82 Payment, and $42.77 Next Bill

I am requesting a formal billing review and escalation to a billing supervisor regarding my recent plan changes, the $147.82 collected from my account on October 20, 2026, and the billing adjustments promised by two Xfinity representatives.

Background — October 1, 2026

My previous promotional rate was $87.82 per month. When that promotion expired, my rate increased to approximately $141 per month, resulting in a bill of $147.82.

On October 1, I contacted Xfinity and spoke with representative Aashish, who offered a new 300 Mbps plan quoted at $93.56 per month, including taxes and fees.

I specifically asked whether I could receive a retroactive credit for the current billing cycle. The representative confirmed that I would receive a prorated adjustment on my next bill and confirmed that the plan change was successfully completed.

October 20, 2026 — Payment and Second Conversation

Despite the October 1 plan change, Xfinity collected the full $147.82 from my account on October 20.

I contacted Xfinity again and spoke with representative Indrajit, who reviewed the account and explained that the higher amount would be prorated and adjusted.

During that conversation, the representative specifically stated:

  • My current monthly bill was $147.82 for September 30–October 29.

  • My upcoming bill for October 30–November 29 would be $42.77.

  • My recurring monthly charge under the revised plan would be $87.82.

  • After switching automatic payments to a checking account and qualifying for the $10 discount, the recurring amount would be approximately $77 per month.

  • I would receive an additional adjustment of approximately $20–$25 on my upcoming bill.

During the same conversation, I approved the removal of the $15/month Xfinity Pro WiFi extender service.

My Concerns and Requested Resolution

First, I want confirmation that the prorated adjustment promised on October 1 has been properly calculated and applied. Since Xfinity collected $147.82 on October 20, I am requesting a refund of any overpayment attributable to the October 1 plan change, preferably to my original payment method.

Second, I want written confirmation that the $42.77 amount quoted for October 30–November 29 is accurate. Please explain exactly how this amount was calculated, including the service charges, prorated adjustments, and credits involved.

Third, I need clarification regarding the additional $20–$25 adjustment mentioned by the October 20 representative. Is this amount already included in the quoted $42.77 bill, or will it be applied separately? I want to ensure credits are not being omitted or counted twice.

Fourth, please confirm my final ongoing monthly charge after removal of Xfinity Pro, including taxes, fees, and the $10 checking-account autopay discount.

Finally, I am requesting consideration of an additional retroactive courtesy credit for the substantial promotional price increase, particularly given my longstanding relationship with Xfinity and the inconsistent billing explanations provided.

Please provide the following in writing:

  1. An itemized reconciliation of the $147.82 collected October 20.

  2. The exact prorated credit owed following my October 1 plan change.

  3. Confirmation and an itemized breakdown of the $42.77 bill quoted for October 30–November 29.

  4. Clarification of whether the additional $20–$25 adjustment is included in or separate from the $42.77.

  5. Confirmation of my ongoing monthly rate, including applicable discounts and fees.

  6. A refund or account credit for any verified overpayment, with the amount and processing date.

  7. A billing dispute case number and written confirmation of the resolution.

I have retained the complete chat transcripts from October 1 and October 20 documenting these commitments.

I have been an Xfinity customer for over 14 years, and I am requesting that the company honor the commitments made by its representatives.

I am not requesting another change to my internet plan. I am requesting an accurate reconciliation and resolution of the existing billing issues.

Thank you.
