Strange credit card payments being processed on my account

I have always paid my Comcast bill through my online banking. My bank has confirmed that they use ACH payment transfers only. However, for the last three months I have been seeing payments come through on my account from different credit cards. I have spent hours on the phone with cust service and all they tell me is that banks sometimes use single-use credit cards to make payments. That makes no sense and my bank has confirmed that they don’t do that. My regular ACH payments have not shown up on my account for the last three months. I need to know what is going on!

I've been seeing the same thing for more that a year along with others. I have spent hours trying to get to the bottom of it and have gotten nowhere. If you are able to get it corrected, please post how you did it.
