Hey, @user_db0eb5! Thanks for creating a new post regarding the change you'd like to apply to your payment method on file. Updating your Xfinity Auto Pay method from a card to a bank account can be done through the Xfinity app or your online account. Switching from card to bank account is also preferred as we no longer offer a discount for cards, but still offer $10/mo off when using a bank account! See Automatic payments and paperless billing discount (APPD) for more details.
Option 1: Using the Xfinity App - Open the Xfinity app and sign in.
- Tap the Account icon (usually a person silhouette) in the top left or the Bill tab at the bottom.
- Select Manage Auto Pay.
- Choose Update or Edit next to your current payment method.
- Select Bank Account as the new payment type.
- Enter your Routing Number and Account Number.
- Follow the prompts to confirm and save the changes.
Option 2: Using the Website - Go to xfinity.com/myaccount and sign in.
- Navigate to the Billing section.
- Look for the Auto Pay status and click Manage Auto Pay.
- Select Edit or Switch Payment Method.
- Choose Add a Bank Account.
- Enter your banking details and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click Save or Confirm.
Some banks may require instant verification through a third-party service like Plaid, or Xfinity may send small "test deposits" to your account that you’ll need to verify a few days later. If your next bill is due within the next 24 - 48 hours, the change might not take effect until the following billing cycle. You may want to make a one-time manual payment if the due date is immediate. Ensure your paperless billing remains active during the switch to keep any "Auto Pay & EcoBill" discounts (APPD) active on your account.
