service fees increased by $48 and franchise fee doubled by $6.

We've been Comcast customers for nearly 30 years and never had an increase of service fees and franchise fees. Can you explain why. It's making it difficult to continue service with Comcast. Streaming companies are becoming more attractive price.

The short answer is these are fees and changes to the fees help to cover the rising cost of these services. To send a "Direct Message" message:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
