Service Failure, and Improper Collections

I’ve been an Xfinity customer for 2 years, but this whole experience has been absolutely unacceptable. Last year, I moved and requested my service to be transferred. After moving, I couldn’t even get connected. A technician came out and said he couldn’t complete the installation and would escalate the issue. Nobody ever contacted me after that.

An entire month went by with no update, so I started reaching out myself. Despite multiple calls and chats, nobody ever managed to resolve the problem, but Xfinity continued to charge me every single month for a service I never received. FIVE months went by like this: no service, but still being billed. Eventually, I canceled the service and asked for a refund for the five months I paid for nothing which they flat out denied.

Then, a month after canceling, I got an email saying I had an outstanding balance. I contacted them again, and after yet another long conversation, they told me they had cleared the balance only to send me another email a few days later saying my account was being sent to collections!

I honestly don’t know how a company this large can be so completely disorganized. Every time I spoke to an agent, I had to explain the entire situation from the beginning nobody ever seemed to have any notes or records of my previous calls. It’s 2025 how is it even possible that they can’t keep track of their own customer interactions?

Now, because of their total incompetence, my credit score is at risk. This is beyond frustrating.
