Sent to collections

I've been a xfinity customer for many years, always paid on time. Now I'm considering moving to another provider because I was taken to collections marked as from Comcast. It already hit my credit report and I never received mail or email or a phone call inregards to anything like it. My statements all show I owe nothing and I even called over the phone to also get confirmation that I owe nothing and have a good standing. I'm tired and scared of how this has happened.

@user_alkqg7 Thanks for adding a post to the forum. Collection reports can be surprising. Does the record show an account number for the service and unpaid debt?

I can only see the last 4 digits and am unsure if the account is a comcast one or one they use for themselves. I tried contacting the collections company but they were incredibly shady and almost aggressive with how they me to just pay without proper validation of me owing. I do see that supposedly the first date of delinquency is Sept 10th 2025, owing a debt of 358.

Our team can attempt to locate the account with your information associated with it to validate the debt from our end. If you could please send me a DM with your first and last name along with your current full-service address and previous addresses you have had Xfinity service at, we can get started.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right corner

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
