Sent free phone and charged
I signed up for internet ACP in June 2022. They sent me a phone without asking and charged me for tax. We called to ask why they did that and they assured us that the phone is free and we would be credited every month the cost of the phone as long as we activated it in 30 days. I was not happy about the initial charge because it was done without permission, but now they are charging us for the monthly payment of the phone we didn't ask for in the first place. I initiate chat every month to get it handled and they say they will but never do and the chat takes over an hour each time. I am now stuck with a phone that I never signed up for and paying monthly on after I was promised it was free. Not to mention I have never been on a Lifeline style program that they charged you the upfront taxes. After going on 4 months of this I feel like I've been scammed and there is nothing I can do about it.
