Seeing bill after cancellation over call

I called xfinity a week ago to cancel my services after current billing cycle (one already paid for) ends. This cycle ends August 18, per my understanding. This call was 20 minutes long. Already annoying but accepted the time cost. I did not get any written confirmation for my cancellation. I just got a notification today that my next bill is due by September 4. This is an incredibly frustrating experience. Any advice to cancel for once and all without another 20 minute call? No, I don’t want to hear the retention promotions again….

@user_inp7wh, thanks for taking the time to post on our Xfinity Community Forums page. Typically, if you cancel your service for a future date that does not stop statements from generating like they usually do. Once the service is disconnected a final bill will generate showing the final bill for a prorated amount. If you'd like we can go over the specifics for your account, please send a direct message including your full name and service address, and we can get started anytime.

Happened to me too! Their chat system said they cancelled and then I just got an email that I was billed $30. Chatted with them again today and they said they would not give me a refund.
