Scammed by Agent

I signed 24 month contract in Oct. 2022 for $80/mnth internet, with promotions and discounts it would come out to $50/mnth. After about 3 months we started noticing additional $5/$10 charges on our bill and had to call customer service every single month to get them off and back down to $50/mnth. Oct. 2023 after being sick and tired of calling every month to get our bill fixed, an agent recommended a new contract to get this fixed permanently. The agent said this new contract would get our bill back down to $50/mnth and no additional charges would arise. Now Nov 2023 and having to call back as usual as our bill was now 3x what it should be, customer service and supervisors will not assist as we “signed a new contract that changed the monthly payment from $80 to $100 monthly” . We trusted our agent to resolve the issue and get our bill to our originally agreed upon $50/mth and now Xfinity does not want to resolve the issue that is their fault. Now that I want to cancel our service after being lied to about this new contract, they say we have to pay $100 termination fee? Yet there wasn’t a termination fee for the old contract when signing the new contract! This company is a scam and I’m very sad to see so many others facing the same issues. Service will be cancelled.

@XfinityRichard still have not received a call back from a supervisor. I was supposed to receive one yesterday.

That’s their favorite scam, a supervisor will call you back today.
