Returned unopened Storm-Ready WiFi but charged $112 on final bill

I recently disconnected my Xfinity service because I moved out of state, and I need help resolving an incorrect charge on my final bill.

On October 1, 2026, I had an in-person appointment with Xfinity and returned all of my equipment. This included the Storm-Ready WiFi equipment, which had never been opened or used. The representative accepted everything and told me that my equipment return was complete and that I was good to go.

However, my final bill now includes a $112 one-time charge labeled “Storm-ready WiFi 21 Thru 36.” It appears that I was charged the remaining installments for the Storm-Ready WiFi even though the unopened equipment was returned to and accepted by Xfinity.

I am requesting assistance from an Xfinity Support representative who can privately review my account, including the October 1 equipment-return records, serial numbers, and account notes.

Please confirm whether the Storm-Ready WiFi was recorded as returned and review whether the $112 charge should be reversed or refunded. If the final payment has already processed, I would also like the appropriate refund reviewed.

I would also like confirmation that all equipment associated with my disconnected account has been properly accounted for and that there are no additional equipment charges outstanding.

I can provide my account information and any other necessary details privately to an official Xfinity Support representative.

Thank you for your help.

0603ben  Thank you for reaching out! It does sound like the installment plan was not removed, and you were billed for the final balance of the device. We can take a look at the account, and see what options may be available. Please send us a direct message, so we can gather your account details.
