Request to Waive $100 Technician Recovery Fee Due to Building Infrastructure Issue
I’d like to dispute a $100 Technician Recovery Fee from a recent technician visit. The technician determined that the issue was not caused by my Xfinity Gateway, customer-owned equipment, or in-home wiring. He explained that the issue appeared to be related to the building’s infrastructure/network configuration involving Xfinity and AT&T. Since the root cause was outside of my equipment and control, I’m requesting that the $100 Technician Recovery Fee be waived and credited back to my account.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thanks for reaching out to us. The tech recovery fee is generally charged when a self-install cannot be completed, where a technician has to be sent out to complete the order and or activate the services.
That fee would have been agreed to at the time of ordering the service with the email sent out confirming and preparing for the visit https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/prepare-for-your-service-visit
I'll be happy to take a look at the account to see if the technician left any notes on the work order
Go ahead and send me a direct message including your first and last name and complete service address
