Request to honor Mobile promotion through original end date and refund charges
Hi,
I signed up for Xfinity Internet with a promotion that included one year of free Xfinity Mobile service, which was supposed to last through August.
Later, my university switched our housing to a group Internet plan, so I could no longer keep my individual Internet service. I didn't realize that this change would also end my Mobile promotion early.
I also wasn't notified that my Mobile plan would start costing $40/month for Unlimited plus a $25/month standalone fee after the Internet account changed. Because of the billing cycle, I didn't notice the change until I received my bill on August 13. By then, I had already received charges for two billing periods covering June through August.
If I had known that my Mobile service would suddenly cost $65/month, I would have contacted Xfinity right away to change or cancel the service.
Since my original Mobile promotion was supposed to continue through August, I'd like to ask if the original promotion can be applied through its original end date and if the Mobile charges from these two billing periods can be refunded or credited back to my account.
I understand that the standalone fee normally applies without an individual Xfinity Internet plan. However, my Internet service changed because my university moved us to a group plan, and I wasn't aware that this would end my Mobile promotion or result in these additional charges.
Could someone please review my account and help me with these charges?
Thank you.
