Repost : Posting to gain access to direct message due to overcharging

I was told by support to submit my post again so here's my original post:

Was charged for internet service after I moved out of my past apartment and had a phone call with xfinity confirming that my account was closed, and now am being sent to collections because xfinity charged me an extra month without telling me over a year ago and I just found out. Utterly ridiculous and unprofessional behavior from xfinity. Now I'm attempting to send a direct message to support and apparently I need to post a public message first, hence the purpose of this post.
