Voice message received:

[Edited: Possible Scam Number] Deposited a new message:
"Hello, Comcast Xfinity calling. The 50% discount on your monthly bill has been deleted, and your account is now being flagged for a $1000 compliance penalty. Immediate response is required. Call us now using your caller ID before the penalty activates."

If you have gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to:     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
The FTC also has a great webpage on Scams.  Please check it out as well.
For Target Gift Cards:
Call 1 (800) 544-2943 and follow Target’s instructions. 
Keep a copy of the Target gift card or your store receipt.
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.

I just received the same potential spam voice mail as above.  Exactly to the word.   This must be a scam.

That is a known issue @user_bj8n7f That being said, we always want our customers to get the best deal around. I also appreciate you wanting to stay with us as your service provider. Here is a link: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/offers with our current promotions if you wanted to take a look. Just make sure you are logged on to your account to see the promotions available for your account.  You can also set up the services directly from the website. I am just the person to pull up your account and review your account and promotions available with you.

Just received this call today. I thought it was suspicious when it said "you must call back on the number showing on your caller ID immediately"  I hope xfinity does (or have done) a public announcement about this.
