Removing xFi complete
I see that xFi complete has a few features I don't need, and it includes the rental of a modem. If I got my own modem could I cancel this additional $25 charge per month?

Hi! Thanks for joining our Xfinity Forum. We appreciate you being a customer with us, and please know my team is always here to support you! In answer to your question, yes, if you purchase your own modem, you can remove xFi Complete/Modem rental fee.
Our plans/packages/speeds have recently changed, and the Gateway (Modem) rental is now included in those plans at no extra cost. My team would love to review these options with you further and find a plan that best fits your overall needs. Please send us a Direct Message. Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message icon” (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the To line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message
