Hi there! Thank you for bringing this great question to our Xfinity Community Forum!

When an Xfinity account is disconnected and a credit balance is present, we will attempt to refund this money to the last card used to make a payment on the account. If a card was not used, or if we are unable to return the funds to the last card used, a refund check will be generated within 4-6 weeks and sent to the address that the last billing statement was sent to.

It will be credited to the card on file even if it’s not original source of payment meaning it was a checking account that was used ? Also what are some reasons refund to card does not work ?

Thank you for your follow up questions, @user_64776a. I can further clarify it would be sent to the last payment method on file last used to make a payment. The card/bank would have needed to have made a payment to us in the amount or larger than the refund amount coming back to you. If that is not possible then we send it in the mail. For example, if the refund is $35, but you had only ever made a payment of $10 with that method, the refund would be mailed.
