Refund on overpayment

I overpaid on the account and was told two different expected days to receive the funds back to my bank account.  Was first told immediately, then told 5 business days and last 14 days.  It was an sufficient amount and know it does not take 5 business days.  The representative explicity told me the first two representative, Chris and Tony lied to me.  Just spoke with a supervisor Brad and he told be it would be refunded within 24 hours.

I need confirmation that funds will be definitely refunded with in 24 hours.  Why are the representative providing different messages.  I have been with Comcast 25 year and this could be the last straw.

Greetings, @user_fmuonc! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about this refund. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

My apologies for the mixed messages on this. Refund timing can be a little different from one situation to the next. If this was an overpayment on a closed account, like someone accidentally paid the balance in full, before the final adjustments were made, that refund will not be processed until 7-10 days after the final bill goes out, which can take up to 30 days after the equipment was returned. These refunds are usually listed as 4-6 weeks in total. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/important-information-when-canceling-services

If this was a refund for an accidental double payment, the refund approval usually takes about 24 hours, once both payments have posted to the account, but the refund itself will still take 7-10 days to go through, depending on how quickly your bank processes transactions. If the double payment was made by a credit card, those can usually be processed in 3-5 business days, so that may be where the "5 business days" estimate came from. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/refunds-from-xfinity

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you and give you a more definite estimate for this refund.
