Reached the edge and shopping for alternatives.
Hello,
I am posting this message in order to share my multiple frustrations and to let it be known that I am actively shopping for alternatives for both TV and internet. It is also ultimately my hope that just maybe someone with Xfinity can genuinely try to set things right and talk me out of leaving. Let me preface this by stating that I have been a happy Xfinity customer for almost 15 years, this was ever since I moved out on my own as an adult with the only break coming when my family was involved in a house fire that disconnected our service. I was also introduced and signed up for service by a very dear friend of mine who worked for Xfinity for decades. After she was moved out of the service department, I have found it difficult to get things set up [Edited: "Inflammatory"]. Every single year without question my bill has spiked out of control and is only brought down slightly as soon as I sign a new contract. After reviewing my past and current bills I can even back this up with numbers and evidence. Keep in mind that for the last three years+ my services have remained largely the same, and yet I found that my bill has risen $100 a month more over just three years. Sadly, it was even more than that until I just recently signed a new contract to lower it slightly. That number represents an over 55% increase in my bills over just three years, which comes out to $1,200 a year more that I am paying just to keep the same services that I have consistently had for three years. [Edited: "Inflammatory"]. [Edited: "Inflammatory"], and if if it wasn't for the help of my parents every month it is a price that I could not currently afford. This is the main reason I have reached the end of my rope and I am ready to cut the cord even after 15 years of being a loyal and dedicated customer that has never been late or missed a payment.
I also have a couple of other concerns that fall into a similar category. First, as a Colorado customer I am having trouble accepting [Edited: "Inflammatory"] to pay a regional sports fee, a fee that has also continued to climb along with the rest of the costs of service. We no longer receive any regional sports networks, and in fact we just lost another one this year. But somehow that has translated into a 50% increase in our regional sports fee. I get that other stations broadcast games for our local teams from time to time, but those are almost always national broadcasts that we pay for the channel separately as it is, not to mention it is a 50/50 proposition that those games will be subjected to blackouts as well. So how is it fair that the RSN fee can increase while we continue to lose access to stations and games that feature our local teams?
Lastly, and my most recent negative experience, I was sold on signing up for Xfi complete after being repeatedly asked if I was interested. Initially I said no, but the customer service agent continued to push the service on me until I relented and said yes. I was lured by the appeal of receiving a free Xfi pod if it was deemed necessary for my network. I figured this would offset the extra $10 a month I would be charged on top of my already high bill. I have several dead zones around my house, including a streaming tv box in a bedroom that loses connection and struggles to stream quite often and a severe lag when connecting to my outdoor security cameras. After waiting more than the two weeks it would take for my whole home wifi evaluation, I never received a confirmation email for whether or not I qualified for the pod. After reaching out to a representative regarding this concern, I was told I must not qualify because I never received the email, he also informed me that my internet usage was nowhere near the cut off limit for needing the Xfi complete package. This meant that not only did I not get the Xfi pod, [Edited: "Inflammatory"] even after paying them over $3000 a year for service.
So that is it. I am completely open to any resolution that may be suitable for this, but if that doesn't end up being the case I am 100% ready to walk away. I also hope that this serves as a warning to others, Xfinity no longer seems to be the company that they once were, and is a great company [Edited: "Inflammatory"]

Am I really not going to get a response to this? Thank you for further proving the points I have made.

Xfinity has a monopoly on cable internet in most areas, there is no way out.

[Edited: "Solicitation"] its their job on behalf of the taxpayers to keep them in line. this will get escalated directly to the top [Edited: "Inflammatory"]
if the investigation turns out [Edited: "Inflammatory"] they will be held accountable. they will ask for documents and email history.
