We've turned it into your own post in order to properly address your particular account, and I'd be happy to help in any way I can! Since disconnect orders typically take 10 days to complete, it's quite possible another bill generates while you wait for service to end, even if the billing stop date is backdated (at which point proration/credit would apply automatically). When did you contact us to request cancellation? And when (what date each month) do your bills tend to come out?
