Public Warning: Ongoing Billing Error for 7 Years – No Resolution Despite Extensive Contact

I’m posting this to document my experience and to warn other customers to closely review their bills.

I cancelled my Xfinity TV service and returned all equipment in December 2018. Despite this, I recently discovered that I have been charged approximately $60 per month for TV services for nearly seven years, totaling about $5,040.

I have written proof in my email records confirming the service cancellation and equipment return.

Over the past several weeks, I have spoken with approximately 10 different Xfinity representatives, across three different continents, and I have received completely contradictory information:

One representative stated I never had TV service and that I would be refunded

Another stated the charges are valid

Others stated they cannot help at all

No one has been willing or able to resolve the issue

Each interaction has sent me further down a rabbit hole, requiring me to re-explain the situation from the beginning. Despite clear documentation, Xfinity has refused to issue a credit or refund, or to complete a proper account audit.

This has been an exhausting and deeply frustrating experience. I am posting this publicly because private channels have failed, and because customers should know that long-term billing errors can persist unnoticed — and that resolving them may be far more difficult than expected.

If you are an Xfinity customer, I strongly encourage you to:

Review your billing history carefully

Verify cancelled services were actually removed

Retain all cancellation and equipment return documentation

I am continuing to pursue resolution through formal complaint channels.
