Post-dated payment

I tried speaking to an agent about this but all I get when I say that I want to speak with a rep is how to pay my bill. I have been in the hospital 5 times in the last 6 months dealing with a multitude of issues. I fell behind on all my bills. I knew that I needed to pay xfinity to not have my service interrupted but my bank took more than I thought they would out of my last paycheck. I tried to tell the xfinity assistant that I needed to post-date my payment until the 25th because that's when my next check was coming in. It let me put in the details and said it would be post dated for the 25th. My services were turned off this morning. What am I supposed to do here? I've been a loyal customer for 23 years. I'm doing my best and just fell on hard times.
