Payment reminder

I want to receive a reminder email shortly before the due date if I have yet to submit a payment.  When I previously chatted with a support representative, he said it was possible, and that he would take care of it.  But, I'm not receiving any such reminder messages, so I tried to configure this behavior myself.  I was unable to find a way to do so.  Is this really possible, and if so, how can I set it up?

If you have paperless billing [ecobill] you should get notification when your statement is ready to view.  After that it's up to you to remember to pay your bill by the due date.  Ditto if you receive a paper statement.  You can set reminders up on a calendar on your computer or devices.  Otherwise, there is no other reminder.

This is happening to me too. I have always received a reminder but not this month (for July) bill. I do have the ecobill option. All I want is to get a bill reminder. I use that reminder to populate a "bill reminders" folder. And yes I know I can set up a reminder to  myself using a calendar entry but then I have to logon to find out the amount and due date. Help. People on the chat don't seem to undertand how to do that. Please tell me the steps so I can create it myself. Thanks!

It sounds like you will want to make sure your alert preferences are setup, updated, and active on your account. Here is a great article that explains how to find the alerts for your account.

All I want to know is the steps to set up and automatic bill reminder. I know I can set up a reminder in my own calendar but then I have to logon to get the amount and due date. Thia has always worked before. Chat people don't know how to do it!

Did you read the article the link points to?  You need to check those items to make sure they are on.  FWIW, whenever I have a problem like this I turn everything off, clear my browser cache, delete the cookies, close my browser and then open it in a new session.  I then go back and reset everything to my preferences.  Works 100% of the time for me.

From the article:

Note: The Bill Ready and Automatic Payment Reminder notification options will only appear if you have Paperless Billing and automatic payments turned on, respectively.

And just so you know, the Official Employees that respond here are not "chat people".  They're real people that work out of the Corporate office and they're very good at helping out customers.
