Payment declined

I was given gift cards for my birthday and figured I’d used them to pay my bill( which I have done in the past) but it keeps saying payment declined even though the funds are clearly there

@J-P-123 How are you trying to make your payment? If you're having issues, you may need to call in to customer service for further assistance.

@J-P-123 Is this for residential services or for Xfinity Mobile?

Thank you for the clarification. There are some prepaid Visa Cards that are able to be used to pay, but that is dependent on the card. At this time, Comcast accepts the following major credit cards:

American Express
Discover
Mastercard
Visa

@XfinityGabby they’re visa gift cards. But it just keeps saying payment declined whenever I attempt to pay.

@J-P-123 Have you contacted the issuer of the Visa Gift Card? I would be happy to check your account for any payment restrictions. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:

  1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon
  2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
  4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!
