Paid final bill, canceled Xfinity, returned router, and still got sent to collections

I have no outstanding payment, paid my last bill and canceled Xfinity, returned my router and still somehow got sent to collections.

the only possibility is that I had a technician come to my house to fix my Internet connection that was not working after it was all said and done. The Internet still didn’t work and I paid my final bill got a $100 reimbursement for the technician, and canceled Xfinity. Everything was great. Two months later, I get a text, saying my outstanding balance is being sent to collections. It seems like so many people are dealing with the same issue. Is this just what happens when you cancel Xfinity. IDK. Fix a Xfinity. Cause I ain’t paying.
