I recently cancelled my service and have an overpayment on my account that I would like credited back to me.

Hello, @user_t08dqd! Thank you for coming to the Xfinity Community Forum with your billing concern. You've come to a great place for help! Our Digital Care Team is awesome to work with because we'll always do whatever we can to provide all the information you need, helping in any way possible. Refunds owed on disconnected accounts are usual, especially since we bill in advance, and disconnection requests typically take 10 days to complete (even when billing stops immediately). This means that in about four to six weeks after disconnecting service, a refund is issued for any remaining credit balance on the account that exceeds the total charges of any unreturned, Comcast-owned equipment.
If a customer is owed a refund due to an overpayment or credit balance on a disconnected account, the refund is applied to the last payment method on file, if eligible. Eligibility includes:
- Last payment method used was an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) within 60 days of the refund processing date, and the refund amount is less than or equal to the last payment amount.
- Last payment method used was a credit or debit card within 180 days of the refund processing date, and the refund amount is less than or equal to the last payment amount.
If eligible, you should receive your refund applied to the last payment method on file in less than 30 days. You'll see the refund processed back to your last payment method on file as a pending transaction, and funds become available within 3 to 5 business days, depending on the financial institution. Please let me know if this helps, and if you have any other questions!
