Notified about an xFi Pod I didn't order

Hi

I got an email saying that I ordered a xFi Pod and it is being sent to me, and I will be charged $130 a month. But I never ordered anything.

How do I deal with this?

user_u3aqed Thanks for creating a post. Were you shopping for an extender on our website by chance previously? For clarity, it would be a one-time purchase on the next bill statement, and not a monthly charge of $130, but we would need your approval to create an order for you from our end, or you can purchase them online directly. When was the email received? We may have to see if the option is available to cancel the order.

I was not shopping for one, and the order was created when I was away from home.

It was created today 1/31 at 11:41am

The order number is 3729600274065945793

Can you confirm that these mails are being sent from spammer/scammers?  I'm an Xfinity/Comcast customer, but I'm receiving mails like the OP sent at an email account not affiliated with my comcast account, so I strongly suspect they are scam mails spoofing Xfinity's logo and email style.

You've reached the right team for help, user_ws954b - Your security is important to us, and we want to help you stay protected. Xfinity uses multiple layers of review to ensure the accuracy of our emails, websites, and text messages. That said, if you notice misspellings, blurry or low‑resolution images, or other inconsistencies, please delete the message, navigate away from the site, or contact us directly. Always check the sender’s email address carefully. If the address looks unfamiliar but claims to be from Xfinity, it’s safest not to trust it. Never click on links or open attachments in unsolicited emails or text messages, as they may contain hidden malware, spyware, or viruses designed to steal or damage your data. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts—we’re always here to help verify and keep your information secure and can review outbound communcations.

In my case, the Xfinity rep in this forum confirmed that I did not have any open orders. And the emails kept on coming, so it was obviously a scam
