Netflix Billing

Xfinity has been billing me for a Netflix account that I don’t have through them since last November at $26.99/mo.  I’ve contacted them both by chat and call to request canceling the account, and requesting credit for the prior billing months.  They agreed to both, but my bill hasn’t changed.  Any suggestions on how to get this resolved?  The chat feature seems VERY ineffective.  Thanks in advance.

Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Xfinity Community Forum, @user_2btmv5. I can understand how frustrating it would be to see Netflix charges on your bill for several months, especially after contacting us previously to have them removed and request a credit.

To help us better understand what's happening, do you recall ever signing up for Netflix through your Xfinity X1 TV Box or Xfinity Flex device? If so, you may find the information in our support article helpful: Netflix Billing Through Comcast.

If that doesn't sound familiar, have you contacted Netflix directly to see whether there is an active subscription associated with your email address or payment information?

We'd be happy to take a closer look at the Netflix charges showing on your Xfinity account and determine the appropriate next steps. Please let us know the answers to the questions above, as we're happy to help!

Hello.  I did not sign up for Netflix through Xfinity and have confirmed with Netflix that I don’t have an account with them through Xfinity.  Last year, around November, I contacted Xfinity because my monthly bill spiked in cost.  I assumed it was the typical situation where an existing promotion expired and I had to reach out to update services and charges.  At that time, the representative set me up for a fixed cost fee, so that I wouldn’t have to monitor and contact Xfinity each time promotions expired.  It was at that time the Netflix service was added, but I never subscribed to the service.

The agent was able to confirm the events and timeline, and vowed to drop the monthly charges as well as credit the previous Netflix charges by further reducing my bill month by month until the total value of what I have been charged for Netflix was fully refunded.  Yet, my last two bills are exactly the same charge as I have been paying.

Is that enough detail?

Appreciate you filling in the gaps for me. We'd be happy to look at the account to see how Netflix was added or if it was built into the plan somehow. What we will need next is for you to send us a direct message with your full name and service address so we can access the account.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
How to: Direct messaging withing the forum.

Sorry, this didn’t help.  I don’t know what you mean by a “direct messaging icon.”  All I see is the Xfinity assistant, and that’s a waste of time.  I’ve clearly outlined my issue to you, why do I need to go through your very unhelpful customer support to get it resolved???
