Need to have access to a live service agent

I have a billing issue and need to speak to someone. The Xfinity assistant is not connecting me to a live agent. I have tried every combination of questions possible to get connected but it's being very difficult. Additionally, I have not been able to connect to a live customer agent through phone. This is very frustrating and I do not understand why comcast makes it so difficult to speak to a person.
