Need help with equipment return and bill credit from overseas

Hello,

I recently received an email from Complete Recovery Corporation with the address returns at completerecoverycorp dot com on behalf of Xfinity. The message says that I need to return Xfinity cable equipment with the serial number (edit personal information)and lists two Xfinity Store locations in Portland Oregon.

I previously had Xfinity service in Portland Oregon and that account is now closed.

I have already moved to South Korea, so I cannot easily call 1 800 XFINITY or 1 833 727 0070 from here. When I try to use the Xfinity virtual assistant or online chat, it only tells me to call a United States phone number and does not give me another option. Because I am currently in South Korea, I am not able to make this type of call.

I keep getting text messages asking me to return Xfinity equipment and to use the xfinity dot com slash returns page, but when I sign in there is no device listed to return.

My final bill shows a credit balance of 12.96 dollars that will be refunded after disconnection and equipment return. I would like to resolve everything properly so that there are no surprise charges and no collections on my account.

When I signed up for the service and later cancelled it, there was no clear explanation of the equipment return process or any possible unreturned equipment fee. Now I am living overseas and it is very difficult for me to return any equipment in person, and shipping the device from South Korea to an Xfinity or UPS location in the United States is also very difficult for me.

Because of this situation, I am willing to pay a reasonable unreturned equipment fee instead of returning the device, as long as this will fully settle my account and prevent any balance from being sent to another company or to a collection agency. I am able to pay by credit card or another online payment method if you provide a way to do that.

Could an official Xfinity employee please

1  Check my former account and confirm if there is any equipment still showing as unreturned or any unreturned equipment fee that will be charged

2  Tell me the exact amount that I would need to pay if I cannot return the equipment from South Korea and confirm that paying this amount will close the matter and prevent any collections activity

3  Explain how I can make this payment from outside the United States by credit card or another online method and how the credit of 12.96 dollars on my final bill will be handled

Because phone calls are very difficult from South Korea, written contact works best for me. If direct messaging is possible I can provide my full name, former service address, account number and email address there so that you can review the details.

Whenever you have a moment, I would appreciate your review and clear guidance on what I should do next while I am living overseas.

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Thanks for reaching out to us, to clarify have you actually returned the Xfinity equipment ?

Once the accounts closed if the equipment is not returned within 30 days you are charged for that equipment until it's returned.

Do you have a way to have someone return the equipment for you that's in the states ?
