Need help switching to cheaper internet-only plan before promo expires

My current Xfinity plan includes 2 Gig Internet and Xfinity Voice. My promotional pricing expires on August 25, and my monthly bill is set to increase substantially.

I want to switch to a cheaper internet-only plan and remove Xfinity Voice. The online Plan Builder is not working correctly for me and will not let me remove Voice, and Xfinity Assistant will not connect me to a live agent.

I would like to handle this entirely online. Can an Xfinity employee help me review the internet-only plans available for my existing account and make the change through direct message?

I am mainly interested in comparing 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, and 1 Gig internet-only options. Please do not make any changes until I have reviewed and approved the pricing.

Hey there user_6nxjca 👋 I appreciate you stopping by the community for help with your plan, and we got you! We don't want you to have to see any extra increase that can be avoided either, so if you're soon coming off of a current promotion, the good news is that there should be some new options opening up for you.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the full service address associated with your account, we can review your internet offers along with making sure your voice service is removed 👍

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
