My bill increased by $20, I'm not sure why

I got a notification that my internet bill is now $20 more than I've been paying for the last 2+ years. I cannot figure out why, what is the reason for the bill increase?

Good morning Reesyman1. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums for help with the recent increase. I'm sorry that this increase is coming as a surprise, based on the timing I have to guess there was a 2-year promotion when you started services and that promotion has ended. If you look at page 3 of the billing statement you should see the promotional details and end date. I know this can be upsetting and not matter what the increase tends to come at the worst time. I'm happy to review the account with you and see what options we may have to keep the costs low. What speed internet are you using now? How many devices do you usually have connected, or what does our daily internet use look like? For myself we have 6 people in our home and over 40 devices connected. But the kids are too young to be into online gaming, so the 800 Mbps tier works perfectly for our streaming and work needs.

You may find you have wiggle room with adjusting the tier of service along with a new promotion.

Hey thanks, I see it was a promotional discount. I currently have 600 MBPS. I connect 3-5 devices daily.  I am not sure if going down in Mbps will work because I stream with multiple devices and game with another.
