Moved for an emergency

Hello,

I’m reaching out because I need assistance permanently canceling all Xfinity services on my account.

I have had an unexpected family emergency that required me to leave the United States, and I will be overseas for an extended period. Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to return and resume using the service.

Because of the circumstances, I’m asking Xfinity to please review my account for an exception regarding any charges that have continued to accrue while I have been away. I understand that billing normally continues until a service is formally canceled, but this was an unforeseen family emergency rather than a planned move or an intentional delay in canceling.

If possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could review the actual usage history on the account. There should be little to no usage during the period I have been away, which should help demonstrate that the service has not actually been used.

I am respectfully requesting:

  1. Permanent cancellation of all services on the account as soon as possible.
  2. A review of the account for any available courtesy adjustment, credit, or billing exception for the period during which there was no usage because I was unexpectedly overseas.
  3. If permitted, consideration of an earlier effective cancellation date based on the circumstances and the lack of account usage.
  4. Waiver of any cancellation-related fee or other charge that can reasonably be waived under these circumstances.
  5. Written confirmation of the cancellation date and the final balance after any adjustments have been reviewed.

I have been dealing with a difficult family situation and am trying to resolve everything remotely. I would sincerely appreciate any discretion or assistance Xfinity can provide rather than requiring me to manage this by telephone from overseas.

I am not requesting a temporary suspension or a change of plan. I need the services permanently disconnected.

My information is:

Best email/mobile number: [Edited: "Personal Information"]

If the representative handling this request does not have authority to approve a billing adjustment or exception, I would be very grateful if you could escalate the request to a supervisor or account specialist who does.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review the circumstances and the account usage history. I would appreciate whatever assistance Xfinity is able to provide.

Sincerely,
