Monthly Service Price

I have been a loyal Xfinity customer for well over 20 years. I currently pay $80 per month for 1 Gig internet service.

 

A competitor recently entered our neighborhood and is offering 2 Gig internet service for $60 per month. I really do not want to go through the hassle of switching providers; however, that is a significant monthly savings of 25%.

 

I did some research and learned that Xfinity is offering 1 Gig service in my neighborhood—the same service I am currently receiving—for $50 per month, with that rate locked in for five years. That would save me $30 per month.

 

I confirmed that this offer is available in my neighborhood.

 

I spent hours calling customer service and using the chatbots, but I could not find anyone willing to help me. I am being told that this offer is only available to new subscribers.

 

This is completely unacceptable. Why not reward proven, loyal customers by offering them the same rates as new customers?

 

As I stated, I do not want to switch providers. However, for that level of monthly savings, I feel compelled to consider my options.

 

I am hoping someone from customer service sees this and can help make things right. I would love to be able to post on my neighborhood community message board and tell my friends and colleagues that Xfinity did the right thing by offering me—the same customer who has remained loyal for more than 20 years—the $50 monthly plan in order to keep my business and prevent me from switching providers.

 

I hope to hear from you before I make the decision to cancel my service.
