Hello, @user_ut8dzr thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. We no longer offer Internet speeds lower than 300 MBPS for post paid internet service. For customers who may want a lower speed alternative, we have our prepaid Xfinity Now service at 100 or 200 MBPS download and comes with unlimited data and modem.

Our customers who are on grandfathered speed tiers lower than 300 MBPS, can stay on those as long as no changes are made. From experience, those grandfathered plans typically no longer have promotion discounts and are every day prices.

I'd be happy to explore pricing options for speeds I currently have available, please let me know if you'd like to do an account review.

That is a very good question user_ut8dzr. Our NOW internet service is still through the coax cable, but it is a prepaid service which allows you some flexibility on how you use your service. If you travel, or you have a month when you may not need your internet service to be active, you can choose whether to have it active, then restart it when you're ready. NOW is a great option for some customers, and I would be happy to discuss it further if you like, or we can look at any available promotional plans for our postpaid services.

I would like to get a closer look at your account to make sure all the info I give you is correct.

If you would, send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

For an example of how to send us a Direct Message, check out this link.
