Monthly Internet Price Increase

I received a monthly internet bill this morning that was $19 higher. I reviewed my account and billing and discovered my monthly internet bill increased by 27% in one month? I have not gone over my monthly data usage or charged any item to this account?  This percentage cost increase is outrageous. If your rebuttal is related to the increase of inflation this would not be a valid excuse as Core inflation is 8.7%, however egregious that 8.7% increase is itself.  I began this service at $50 monthly and now it is $89 monthly.  This would equate to a total cost increase of 56%, since enrolling for your internet service of only 2 years ago. Please explain.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to the Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@EG

Thank you for your reply.

The $50 to $70 increase after 1 year was due to a promotional offer, but the $70 to $89 is simply a 1 year 27% price increase.  Initially, I was not aware of the promotional price either, but I take responsibility for that as I did not review the terms as thoroughly as I should have because I was hurriedly connecting various utilities and services for a new home purchase. The new 27% monthly price increase is simply a price increase.

I would hope to stay with Xfinity/Comcast as I have generally had good service with Xfinity/Comcast, but being fair to customers relating to inflation increases vs price increases is also a priority and goes to character of the company.

Thank you for additionally moving to Billing.

Thank you

Hi there! This is definitely not the kind of experience we want our customers to have with us. We'll check on this right away and will do the best possible for you. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this billing issue. It's most likely that your promotional rate has expired or is about to. Please send a message, I would love to help! To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

-Click "Sign In" if necessary

-Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

-Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

-The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

I appreciate your patience today, Neal. I do see the increase on the account as the promotion has in fact expired. Are you interested in continuing with the same speeds associated with your account? Also, has this been sufficient for your everyday needs?

Hi! I have the same situation - I see next bill will increased on more than 50% after promotional year of service ends. Is it exists any option to keep my promotional rate for the next year?
