Modem return after reducing soeed

I just reduced my plan from 300mb/s to 150mb/s as the apartment is no longer my primary residence. Upon checkout, it mentioned I had to return my modem to avoid charge despite maintaining the $25/month unlimited + modem charge. Is it necessary to return the modem? I am unable to in the time allotted given i am not at the residence right now, hence reducing the plan.

user_540ykk Normally you wouldn't need to return the device for making just a speed change unless a new device was shipped in the order. I would be happy to review the order, and confirm this for you though.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
