Misleading Billing Resolution and Unfulfilled Promise to Review Promotional Pricing

Hi Xfinity Support,

I'm hoping someone can help resolve an ongoing billing issue and review my account for better promotional pricing.

I was previously paying $60/month for gigabit internet service. When my promotional rate expired (which I thought was supposed to last 5 years), my bill jumped to approximately $110/month. I called Xfinity to discuss my options, and the representative assured me that he would temporarily move me to an $80/month plan and issue a one-time credit to bring my immediate bill back down to my previous $60 rate while my account was reviewed for additional promotional pricing.

Based on that conversation, I understood the $80 rate to be a temporary solution while Xfinity worked toward a more reasonable long-term rate. However, I never received any follow-up communication or resolution. My bill is now $80/month, substantially higher than what I was previously paying.

When I contacted Xfinity again, the representative actually told me that the original agent had lied to me about what would happen. This was incredibly frustrating, particularly because I had relied on the original representative's assurances rather than immediately exploring other providers.

I'm not expecting to receive services for free, but I do expect accurate information, follow-through on commitments, and reasonable pricing for an existing customer.

I'd appreciate assistance with:

  1. Reviewing the original interaction and promised follow-up, including any account notes or available call recordings.

  2. Finding a competitive long-term promotional rate, ideally restoring my previous $60/month pricing or offering one of the newer five-year price guarantee promotions available for gigabit service.

  3. Addressing the lack of follow-through, particularly since I was explicitly told my account would be reviewed and subsequently received no communication.

I'd prefer to remain an Xfinity customer, but this experience has been disappointing, particularly when a competing internet provider in my area is currently offering service for $55/month. Given that I was previously paying $60/month, I think it's reasonable to expect Xfinity to offer comparable pricing, especially in light of the commitments made during my original call.

I'd appreciate a meaningful resolution that includes both a review of the previous customer service interactions and a competitive long-term promotional rate. Ideally, I'd like to return to my previous $60/month rate or take advantage of one of the newer five-year price guarantee offers.

Could an Xfinity representative please reach out so we can discuss the details privately?

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
