Medical Hardship Assistance Request
Subject: Medical Hardship Assistance Request – Account: [Edited: "Personal Information"]
Message: > Hello, my name is [Edited: "Personal Information"] and I am a current Xfinity customer at [Edited: "Personal Information"]. I am writing to formally request assistance with my internet bill due to a medical hardship. I have paid half of my monthly bill already, and trying to navigate management of my bill after my surgery on March 12th, 2026.
I recently underwent surgery for breast cancer and am currently in active treatment. This has caused significant financial strain. I would like to know if I can:
- Set up a Flexible Payment Plan for any outstanding balance to avoid service interruption while I focus on my recovery.
- Or is there some other assistance you are able to provide; please advise.
Thank you for your time and help with this matter.

Hello, @user_5ny320 thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I completely understand wanting to look at options to keep service on, while going through the medical hardship. I know you have a lot on your plate with your treatments, and sending strength and patience as you heal.
We do have an installment plan, you can go to the Xfinity Assistant, if you are eligible, Xfinity Assistant shows your options. If an installment plan is available, choose it to continue. If eligible and after signing up, there will need to be a $50 one time payment made and then the remaining balance will be broken down over 12 months and added to your monthly billing. Here is a helpful article that has more information on the installment plan.
The other option that may be available if the installment plan isn't an option, if you receive any messaging about a possible interruption. When logging into your account online or through the Xfinity App, you can check to see if a payment arrangement is available. I found this helpful article as well regarding payment arrangements.
Please let me know if that was able to answer your questions.
