Loyalty Discount

Hello, I received an email stating that I would be receiving a loyalty discount; however, I don't see that it was applied to my upcoming billing cycle. I called customer service, and although they've been trying to assist for over an hour, they insisted that my email was not legitimate. That said, every link in the email directs me to the official Xfinity site, which leads me to believe the email is legitimate. The email address that they told me over the phone matches the email that I received.  I’d really appreciate help in resolving this. According to the message, my introductory promotion ends on July 14th, and the monthly loyalty discount should apply for the next 12 months. Thanks.
