Loyalty and Retention Offers

Just spent an hour being passed from CSR to CSR trying to change my internet to the 1 GB 5 year rate lock price of $50 a month.  Was told that is only for new customers and rep did not seem to care that I can get 1GB internet from Frontier or GoNetSpeed, for $50 a month, in my area both of which are fiber and have better upload speed.  So I get charged $110 a month while Comcast offers the save service for $50 a month to new customers.  Seems like they must want loyal 20+ year customers to cancel their service and switch providers.  Anyone else have a similar situation and obtain a reasonable solution from Customer Service?

WHRich Thank you for reaching out with your questions. Customers generally must wait 90 days after closing an account to be considered a new customer for Xfinity Residential services (internet, TV, voice) and qualify for introductory promotions. That said, we’d be happy to review your current account and explore any available options or offers it may qualify for. Please let us know if you’re interested.

@XfinityBrianH Thank you!  I really would like to stay with Xfinity but struggle with paying $720 a year more than I need to for 1GB service in my area.  It would be terrific if you could review my account for any possible options.  Thanks again
